Maternity sessions are such a special way to document the anticipation of welcoming a new baby, but I believe they can also be an opportunity to capture the people, places, and animals that are already such an important part of your life.
For Kerry’s maternity session, we did just that by including her horse, Paisley. As a New Hampshire maternity photographer, I love when clients bring something personal into their session, and photographing the connection between Kerry and Paisley made this session especially meaningful.

There is something incredibly special about the bond between a horse and the person who cares for them. The trust, patience, understanding, and familiarity between Kerry and Paisley were so evident throughout their session.
Some of my favorite images from the day are the ones where Kerry and Paisley are simply together. Nothing feels forced. Their relationship speaks for itself.
These are the kinds of moments I love capturing because they tell you something about the person in front of my camera. Kerry isn’t just an expecting mother. She is someone who has built a meaningful relationship with Paisley, and that relationship will continue to be an important part of her story as she enters motherhood.
